삼국장군전은 유비, 관우, 조자룡 등의 캐릭터를 조정하여 주어진 미션을 풀어나가는 시뮬레이션 RPG로서 기존의 SRPG와는 다르게 전투화면을 중점으로 구성하여 사용자 몰입도와 긴장감을 높이도록 하였다. 초보자들도 쉽게 플레이 할 수 있는 직관적인 인터페이스와 지형요소에 따른 전략적 측면을 강조하여 기존게임과는 다른 독특한 매력을 느낄 수 있다.
